Key Account Manager - Melbourne SE Suburbs

Sensational opportunity for an experienced and highly driven account manager to join a market leader and be part of a dynamic national sales team!

ITW AAMTech is a leading Australian manufacturer of Automotive aftermarket products providing global brands such as Permatex, Wynn’s, Rain-X, Slime. 

Reporting to the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the growth and management of a group of major key accounts. These may include customer groups like Repco, Supercheap Auto, Bapcor, Mitre 10 and require multiple category management relationships covering a broad portfolio of our brands.

Your role will be focused on top down implementation of strategic business sales plans, promotional planning, sell through activity, category development, business development and customer support activities. Travel requirements for the role will require both state and interstate travel. It is a busy and varied role, which would suit someone with a strong business and sales orientation who is able to work well under pressure and has an exceptional understanding of the Retail category management and promotional processes 

This is a critical major account management role in our business giving the successful candidate a solid role with future career growth.

Our modern head office is based in Dandenong south and is ideally the base for this role.

 

Role activities include: 

  • Represent the company on a daily basis with face to face contact with key customers and regional distributors utilising ITW 80/20 principals.
  • Achieve budgeted sales for revenue and AGP
  • Increase sales revenue in line with the allocated budget, utilising ITW principles.
  • Utilise as part of their selling strategy templates supplied for specific sales channels.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, coordinating communications, marketing tools and promotions. 
  • Carry out his/her duties under the direction of the Sales Director and to operate in accordance with the ‘Core’ plan for the Region and the ITW Principles of Conduct.

  

Selection Criteria

  • Solid experience in Major Account Management and display an attitude that is key to success.
  • Strong relationship building skills.
  • Pronto experience (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in markets such as: Retail Automotive, Hardware and Industrial
  • Experience driving sales growth through customer category managers
  • Tertiary qualification in Sales/Marketing/Business (advantageous)
  • Internal and external customer focused
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office - intermediate)
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise

  

Some of the skills and attributes we are looking for include high level written and verbal communication, an ability to prioritise and work to deadlines, superior customer service, the capability to adapt to changing environments and a proven track record of achieving set targets. In addition, the role would suit a candidate with a good technical acumen and interest in automotive products.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Adopt the key ITW principals in all activities and planning
  • Develop account and category growth plans to meet or exceed the Retail channel sales and profit targets
  • Manage and maximise within budget our participation in Customer catalogues and promotional activities.
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director; manage the quarterly major customer category review process utilising our product and marketing teams
  • Manage customer driven Category reviews with our internal teams to grow accounts with range extensions, innovation and new products.
  • In conjunction with the product teams, review IIS and other market data to develop and implement strategies that address the trends, risks and opportunities 
  • Participation in key trade show and training events
  • Completion and achievement of set SMART Objectives
